    This extension is a fabulous fix for a vexing, terrible problem with Google's faulty geolocation database. While all the major geolocation services correctly locate my IP address, Google's own geolocation service gets it completely wrong, 400 miles away, presumably due to network hub locations. Setting default location in Windows does not fix it, and I tried many, many fixes found on the web with none working.     Chrome extensions go through a strict review process before being published. During this process, Google carefully checks the code and requires a clear justification for every permission requested, to make sure each one is used only for its intended purpose. The “read and access data on all websites” message is shown because this extension uses the scripting permission. This permission is necessary for Location Guard to override and replace the geolocation API separately on each website. This does NOT mean the extension is actually reading or collecting data from websites. Any extension that uses the scripting permission will trigger the same warning during installation.
