I needed this because whenever I downloaded something in chrome, a dropdown menu of all my downloads would pop up and cover half my screen. Clicking on the download icon didn't collapse the list so I had to exit out of chrome to get rid of it. So annoying. Curious if anyone else has this issue. This extension fixed it, so thank you!

It looks like it's the only new extension which hides the new default chrome download-Icon. The Extension works perfect, thanks a lot!

Google Chrome has Download Shelf disabled with no way to keep it permanently open. This extension would be better if it could toggle Download Shelf on and off. As with Google Chrome, this extension has absolutely no settings to customize.

A little better than the other remove download bar ext, because I can open up the download tab. Although I could just press Ctrl + J. I just wish it would notify me if something downloaded like in Firefox
